On May 2, the House approved, 229-197, H.R. 1180, the Working Families Flexibility Act, sponsored by Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL). The House Education and the Workforce Committee approved the measure on April 26 (see The Source, 4/28/17).
Among other provisions, employees would be entitled to at least 1.5 hours of comp time for each hour for which overtime would have been required. Currently, public sector employees may receive comp time in lieu of overtime pay.
