Crime 

H.R. 3019–Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA)/Considered and agreed to (5/21/24)–A bill to establish an inspections regime for the Bureau of Prisons, which includes an assessment of credible allegations of attempted or threatened violence, sexual abuse, or misconduct committed against incarcerated people. 

Family Support 

H.R. 8467–Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-PA)/Agriculture (5/21/24)–The Farm, Food, and National Security Act (also known as the Farm Bill), a bill that includes provisions to reauthorize several nutritional assistance programs of importance to women and their families. 

International 

H.R. 8529–Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT)/Foreign Affairs (5/23/24)–A bill to authorize assistance to train and retain obstetrician-gynecologists and sub-specialists in urogynecology and to help improve the quality of care to meet the health care needs of women in least developed countries. 

Miscellaneous  

H.R. 8521–Rep. Donald Beyer (D-VA)/Financial Services (5/23/24)–A bill to award a Congressional Gold Medal to Joan Trumpauer Mulholland in recognition of her unique and substantial contributions to American life through her life-long commitment to social justice and equality for all citizens, exhibited both through direct action, at great personal risk, and through ongoing educational activities. 

Reproductive Health 

 S. 4368–Sen. Ten Cruz (R-TX)/Finance (5/20/24)–A bill to require, as a condition of receiving federal Medicaid funding, that states do not prohibit in vitro fertilization (IVF) services, and for other purposes.

 H. Res. 1248–Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY)/Energy and Commerce; Education and the Workforce (5/21/24)–A resolution recognizing the impact the stigmatization of menstruation has on the lives of women, girls, and people who menstruate, and expressing support for the designation of the month of May as “National Menstrual Health Awareness Month.”

 S. 4381–Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA)/Placed on Senate calendar (5/22/24)–A bill to protect an individual’s ability to access contraceptives and to engage in contraception and to protect a health care provider’s ability to provide contraceptives, contraception, and information related to contraception.
