Floor Action:
The House and Senate are in session this week.
Beginning Tuesday, the Senate is expected to consider S. 2226, its version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
Mark-Ups:
Appropriations- On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2024 Transportation, HUD, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The measure provides funding for housing programs for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and to support affordable housing for women with dependents.
On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2024 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies spending bill (both as-yet-unnumbered). The bill includes funding for the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum.
On Thursday, the Senate Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2024 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation provides funding for several international assistance programs supporting women and girls.
Also on Thursday, the Senate Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2024 Transportation, HUD, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).
Small Business- On Wednesday, the Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship will mark-up several bills, including S. 673, the Small Business Childcare Investment Act, S. 936, to include requirements relating to graduates of career and technical education programs or programs of study for small business development centers and women’s business centers, S. 2094, the Interagency Committee on Women’s Business Enterprise Act of 2023, and S. 2184, the Women’s Business Centers Improvement Act of 2023.
