Abortion

H.R. 343—Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN)/Energy and Commerce (1/19/21)—A bill to require states to report information on Medicaid payments to abortion providers.

H.R. 380—Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ)/Ways and Means (1/21/21)—A bill to provide that amounts paid for an abortion are not taken into account for purposes of the deduction for medical expenses.

H.R. 381—Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ)/Judiciary; Energy and Commerce (1/21/21)—A bill to prohibit certain abortion procedures, and for other purposes.

H. Res. 58—Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA)/Oversight and Reform (1/21/21)—A resolution memorializing the unborn by lowering the United States flag to half-staff on the 22nd day of January each year. 

H. Res. 60—Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC)/Energy and Commerce (1/21/21)—A resolution expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that January 22, 2021, be formally acknowledged as “National Sanctity of Life Day.”

S. 16—Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH)/Judiciary (1/22/21)—A bill to prohibit taking minors across state lines in circumvention of laws requiring the involvement of parents in abortion decisions.

Education 

H.R. 426—Rep. Gregory Steube (R-FL)/Education and Labor (1/21/21)—A bill to provide that for purposes of determining compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 in athletics, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.

Family Support

H.R. 432—Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA)/Energy and Commerce; Ways and Means (1/21/21)—A bill to provide for the coverage of marriage and family therapist services and mental health counselor services under Part B of the Medicare program, and for other purposes.

Health 

H. Res. 55—Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ)/Energy and Commerce (1/21/21)—A resolution recognizing the importance of access to comprehensive, high-quality, life-affirming medical care for women of all ages.

S. Res. 14—Cory Booker (D-NJ)/Judiciary (1/22/21)—A resolution designating January 23, 2021, as “Maternal Health Awareness Day.”

Tax Policy

H.R. 361—Rep. Gregory Steube (R-FL)/Ways and Means (1/19/21)—A bill to eliminate the marriage penalty in the income tax rate brackets. 

Veterans

H.R. 344—Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA)/Veterans Affairs (1/19/21)—A bill to direct the secretary of Veterans Affairs to conduct an analysis of the need for women-specific programs that treat and rehabilitate women veterans with drug and alcohol dependency and to carry out a pilot program regarding such programs.

H.R. 345—Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA)/Veterans Affairs (1/19/21)—A bill to direct the secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide abortion counseling to a veteran who has an unwanted pregnancy. 

H. Res. 49—Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA)/Oversight and Reform (1/19/21)—A resolution expressing the sense of the Congress that a commemorative postage stamp series should be issued honoring women veterans, and that the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee should recommend to the postmaster general that such a stamp series be issued. 

H. Res. 50—Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA)/Veterans Affairs (1/19/21)—A resolution expressing the support of the House of Representatives for the naming of new or undedicated facilities of the Department of Veterans Affairs after women veterans and minority veterans in order to reflect the diversity of all who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States.
