Family Support—On January 17, the House passed, 412-5, H.R. 4258, the Family Self-Sufficiency Act, which would help eligible families achieve economic independence.
International—On January 17, the House passed H.R. 3445, the African Growth and Opportunity Act and Millennium Challenge Act Modernization Act, by voice vote. The bill would enhance trade development and promote women’s roles in social and economic development.
