On December 6, the Senate Indian Affairs Committee approved, by unanimous consent, S. 1870, the Securing Urgent Resources Vital to Indian Victim Empowerment (SURVIVE) Act, sponsored by Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND). The committee held a hearing on the bill on October 25 (see The Source, 10/27/17).
