On June 8, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health approved, by voice vote, a bill to reauthorize community health centers (as-yet-unnumbered). The subcommittee held a hearing examining the role of community health centers on May 4 (see The Source, 5/5/06).
Sponsored by Chair Nathan Deal (R-GA), the bill would reauthorize community health centers at $1.963 billion in FY2007, $1.999 billion in FY2008, $2.015 billion in FY2009, and $2.041 billion in FY2010 and FY2011.
