On May 16, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. 139, the Rapid DNA Act. The House approved its version of the bill, H.R. 510, the same day by voice vote.
The Senate Judiciary Committee approved S. 139 on May 11; the House Judiciary Committee approved H.R. 510 on April 27 (see The Source, 5/12/17 and 4/28/17).
