On December 9, the House passed, by voice vote, the Early Awareness Requires Learning Young (EARLY) Reauthorization Act (H.R. 5185).
The bill, sponsored by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), would reauthorize the EARLY Act through FY2019. That bill, originally passed as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148), educates the public and health care professionals about young women’s breast health and supports research into breast cancer prevention in young women.
