On September 21st, the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved, by voice vote, H.R. 1209, the Improving Access to Maternity Care Act, as amended, originally sponsored by Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX). The Subcommittee on Health approved the bill on September 13, 2016 (see The Source, 9/16/16) after holding a hearing on the bill on December 9, 2015 (see The Source, 12/11/15).
