House Agrees to Resolution Addressing Violence Against the Rohingya

On December 6, the House agreed to H. Con. Res. 90, a resolution condemning violence committed against the Rohingya, an ethnic minority in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. The House Foreign Affairs Committee agreed to the resolution on November 15 (see The Source, 11/17/17).

Among other provisions, the resolution would call for Myanmar to end all human rights attacks against the Rohingya, which include the rape of women and girls.
