Funded by a grant from Democracy Fund, the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute took over administration of the Women Chiefs of Staff program in January 2016.
First conceived by longtime House Chief of Staff Betsy Wright Hawkings and a core bipartisan group of veteran women chiefs of staff in 2015, the program’s mission is to foster bicameral personal relationships across party lines, build a support network for women chiefs of staff, committee staff directors, and senior leadership staff, and develop bipartisan women’s leadership.
