Karis Joi Johnson worked as a legislative fellow in the office of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18). She earned her Juris Doctorate and Master of Public Administration degrees from St. Mary’s University and received her BA from New York University. During and prior to receiving her graduate degrees, Karis Joi worked as a Title I public school K-12 teacher and Community College and University educator. She was the Betty Dooley Parsons Fellow.
