On June 10, the House approved, 229-192, the FY2015 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies spending bill (H.R. 4745). The House Appropriations Committee approved the legislation on May 21 (see The Source, 5/23/14); the Senate Appropriations Committee approved its version of the bill (S. 2438) on June 5 (see The Source, 6/6/14).
The bill would provide $52 billion in discretionary funds for programs funded within the departments of Transportation and Housing and Urban Development. This amount is $1.2 billion over FY2014 and $7.8 billion below President Obama’s FY2015 request.
