By unanimous consent, the House on November 14 approved a resolution (H. Res. 582) expressing the sense of the House that the goals and ideals of National Runaway Prevention Month should be recognized and supported. According to the resolution, between 1.3 million and 2.8 million American youths live on the street, and 1 out of every 7 American youths run away from home before the age of 18. The resolution is sponsored by Reps. Steve Israel (D-NY) and Judy Biggert (R-IL).
