On May 7, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, a bill (S. 410) that would add dating violence to the list of crimes covered by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Sponsored by Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID), the bill would expand legal assistance to include victims of dating violence.
