Floor Action: The House and Senate are in session. 

Women’s History: On Monday, the House is scheduled to consider S. 1278, to designate the federal building located at 985 Michigan Avenue in Detroit, Michigan, as the “Rosa Parks Federal Building.” 

Mark-Up: 

Health: On Tuesday, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will consider a number of bills, including H.R. 3916, to reauthorize the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program; H.R. 4581, to support stillbirth prevention and research; H.R. 5012, to improve research and data collection on stillbirths; and H.R. 7224, to reauthorize the Stop, Observe, Ask, and Respond to Health and Wellness Training Program to provide health care and social services providers with training on identifying human trafficking.

Child Care 

S. 3884–Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)/Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (3/6/2024)–A bill to establish a grant pilot program to provide child care services for the minor children of law enforcement officers to accommodate the shift work and abnormal work hours of such officers.

Child Protection 

H.R. 7534–Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA)/Energy and Commerce; Education and the Workforce (3/5/2024)–A bill to improve protections for children in connection with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information from and about children on the Internet. 

International 

S. Res. 582–Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)/Foreign Relations (3/7/2024)–A resolution to support the goals of International Women’s Day.

Military 

H.R. 7557–Rep. Daniel Webster (R-FL)/Transportation and Infrastructure (3/5/2024)–A bill to protect members of the Coast Guard from sexual assault and harassment and increase transparency within the Coast Guard. 

Reproductive Health 

S. Res. 574–Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL)/Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (3/6/2024)–A resolution to express support for starting and growing a family through in vitro fertilization (IVF).

H. Res. 1060–Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL)/Energy and Commerce (3/6/2024)–A bill to express support for starting and growing families through in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Women’s History 

H. Res. 1058–Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA)/ Education and the Workforce (3/5/2024)–A bill to congratulate Caitlin Clark on becoming the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I basketball leading scorer.
