The Senate on October 18 cleared, 86-8, the conference report for the FY2001 agriculture appropriations bill (H.R. 4461), sending the measure to the President. The House approved the measure on October 11 (see The Source, 10/13/00, p. 2).
Overall, the measure will provide $4.1 billion for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children and $9.5 billion for child nutrition programs. The President is expected to sign the bill.
