H.R. 8263—Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO)/Transportation and Infrastructure (7/1/22)—A bill to prohibit any head of a federal agency or department from leasing certain federal property to abortion providing organizations, and for other purposes.
H. Res. 1216—Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV)/Energy and Commerce (7/1/22)—A resolution expressing support for the designation of June as the “Month of Life.”
H. Res. 1214—Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA)/Judiciary (7/1/22)—A resolution condemning the illegal intimidation tactics of extreme left-wing organizations in the wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Supreme Court decision.
Education
H.R. 8247—Rep. Joe Morelle (D-NY)/Education and Labor; Ways and Means (6/28/22)—A bill to establish an emergency grant aid program, and for other purposes. The bill would authorize a new emergency grant program for higher education institutions to provide students with emergency funds when a financial emergency directly impacts their ability to stay in school, including information about available assistance through programs such as the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
Health
H. Res. 1208—Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragan (D-CA)/Energy and Commerce (6/28/22)—A resolution supporting the goals and ideals of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. The resolution states that nearly two-thirds of those living with Alzheimer’s disease are women.
International
H. Res. 1210—Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY)/Foreign Affairs (6/28/22)—A resolution affirming the role of the United States in eliminating sexual violence in conflict.
STEM
H.R. 8251—Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI)/Science, Space, and Technology; Education and Labor (6/28/22)—A bill to authorize the National Science Foundation (NSF) to make awards to institutions of higher education and non-profit organizations for research, development, and related activities to advance innovative approaches to developing, improving, and expanding evidence-based microelectronics education and workforce development activities and learning experiences at all levels of education, and for other purposes. The bill includes provisions that would encourage partnerships to increase recruitment of students from historically underrepresented groups, including a requirement that awards proposals include outreach activities to increase the participation of women in STEM.
