Floor Action: 

The House and Senate are in session this week. 

Small Business/Entrepreneurship- On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 7670, the Women-Owned Small Business Program Transparency Act. 

Mark-Ups: 

International- On Thursday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will mark up several bills, including S. 4171, the International Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2022; S. Res. 540, a resolution supporting the goals of International Women’s Day; and S. Res. 589, a resolution recognizing, honoring, and commending the women of Ukraine who have contributed to the fight for freedom and the defense of Ukraine.

Military- On Wednesday, the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel will mark up H.R. 7900, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2023.

Hearings:

Family Support- On Wednesday, the House Agriculture Committee will hold a hearing, “A 2022 Review of the Farm Bill: Stakeholder Perspectives on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).”

H.R. 7945—Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA)/Armed Services (6/3/22)—A bill regarding restrictions on the use of funds and facilities of the Department of Defense for abortion care.

Family Planning

H.R. 7922—Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC)/Energy and Commerce; Ways and Means; Oversight and Reform (5/31/22)—A bill to require group health plans, health insurance issuers offering group or individual health insurance coverage, and Federal Employees Health Benefits Program health benefits plans to meet certain requirements with respect to medical child support orders, and for other purposes.

Health 

H.R. 7933—Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT)/Energy and Commerce; Financial Services; Education and Labor; Agriculture (6/3/22)—A bill to improve the safety and supply of infant formula, and for other purposes.

International 

H. Con. Res. 94—Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX)/Foreign Affairs (5/31/22)—A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress regarding the end of impunity of unpunished Serbian sexual war crimes during the 1999 Kosovo war in the case of United States citizen and sexual war crime survivor Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman and other survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. 

Judiciary

H.R. 7920—Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY)/Judiciary (5/31/22)—A bill to create a civil action for non-consensual sexual protection barrier removal, and for other purposes. 

H.R. 7928—Rep. Norma J. Torres (D-CA)/Judiciary (5/31/22)—A bill to encourage states to voluntarily pass laws to authorize civil damages and equitable relief for nonconsensual sexual protection barrier removal, and for other purposes.
