Angie Craig (D-MN)/Natural Resources; Energy and Commerce (12/13/21)—A resolution recognizing the maternal health crisis among indigenous women in the United States, which includes American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian women, recognizing the importance of reducing mortality and morbidity among indigenous women, and calling for urgent Federal funding changes to ensure comprehensive, high-quality, and culturally competent maternal health and family planning services are available.
International
S. 3426—Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ)/Foreign Relations (12/16/21)—A bill to promote diversity at the Department of State, to direct the secretary of State to review the termination characterization of former members of the Department who were fired by reason of their sexual orientation, and for other purposes. The bill also would direct the Department to thoroughly report, document, and investigate sexual harassment and assault claims by employees.
