The House and Senate are in session this week.
Appropriations- On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 4502, a “minibus” spending package that includes, among other provisions, the FY2022 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies; Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration, Rural Development, and Related Agencies; Financial Services and General Government; Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies; and Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies appropriations bills.
Also on Tuesday, the House may consider the H.R. 4346, the FY2022 Legislative Branch spending bill; H.R. 4373, the FY2022 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act; and H.R. 4505, the FY 2022 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act.
Military- On Monday, the House is scheduled to consider several bills, including H.R. 2365, the Gold Star Mothers Family Monument Extension Act, as amended.
Mark-Ups:
International- On Wednesday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will mark up legislation, including S. 2297, the International Pandemic Preparedness and COVID-19 Response Act of 2021, which contains important provisions to identify obstacles to health care access and improve health outcomes for women and girls.
Also on Wednesday, the House Foreign Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including H. Res. 497, a resolution condemning the murder of Alireza Fazeli Monfared and the practice of so called “honor killings” in Iran, and H. Res. 547, a resolution calling for the continued support of Afghan women and girls after the drawdown of American troops.
Military- On Wednesday, the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel will mark up the FY2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
Veterans- On Wednesday, the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee will mark up legislation, including S. 1863, the Guaranteeing Healthcare Access for Personnel who Served Act, which contains provisions to address women veterans and military sexual trauma, and S. 2102, the Supporting Expanded Review for Veterans in Combat Environments (SERVICE) Act of 2021, which would provide mammography screening for veterans who served in locations associated with toxic exposure.

Family Support- On Wednesday, the House Education and Labor Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Human Services will hold a hearing, “Food for Thought: Examining Federal Nutrition Programs for Young Children and Infants.”
