The Senate Judiciary Committee on April 25 approved, by voice vote, a bill (S. 410) that would add dating violence to the list of crimes covered by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Sponsored by Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID), the bill would expand legal assistance to include victims of dating violence.
