Floor Action:

Health— On February 26, the House passed, by voice vote, H.R. 767, the Stop, Observe, Ask, and Respond (SOAR) to Health and Wellness Act.

On March 1, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 419, a resolution designating February 26 through March 4 as “National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.”

Human Trafficking— On February 28, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, H.R. 1625, the Targeted Awards for the Global Eradication of Human Trafficking (TARGET) Act, as amended.

On February 27, the House passed, 388-25, H.R.1865, the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act of 2017.

Miscellaneous— On February 28, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 418, a resolution to designate March 21, 2018 as “National Rosie the Riveter Day.”

Hearings:

International— On February 27, the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade held a hearing, “Women’s Role in Countering Terrorism.”

STEM— On February 27, the House Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee on Research and Technology held a hearing, “A Review of Sexual Harassment and Misconduct in Science.”

Violence Against Women— On February 27, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security and Investigations held a hearing, “Implementation of the Survivor’s Bill of Rights Act.”
