On November 15, the House Financial Services Committee approved, 58-0, H.R. 4258, the Family Self-Sufficiency Act, sponsored by Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI).
Among other provisions, the bill would help localities coordinate programs, such as job training, child care, and educational services, to help families receiving housing assistance achieve greater economic independence and self-sufficiency.
