Small Business Programs on House Committee Agenda

On March 30, the House Small Business Committee held a hearing, “SBA’s Entrepreneurial Development Programs: Resources to Assist Small Businesses.” The hearing focused on several programs housed at the Small Business Administration, including the Women’s Business Centers and the Small Business Development Centers programs.

The following witnesses testified:

• Kenneth Yancey, Jr., chief executive officer, SCORE, Herndon, VA;
• Antonella Pianalto, president and chief executive officer, Association of Women’s Business Centers;
• Charles Rowe, president and chief executive officer, America’s Small Business Development Centers; and
• Joseph C. Sharpe, Jr., director, National Veterans Employment and Education Division, The American Legion.
