On December 8, the Senate approved, 92-7, the conference report for S. 2943, the FY2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The House approved the legislation on December 2 (see The Source, 12/2/16).
The Senate vote clears the bill, which authorizes $611.2 billion in FY2017 for defense and national security programs, for President Obama’s signature.
