On May 18, the House Foreign Affairs Committee approved, by voice vote, S. 1252, the Global Food Security Act, sponsored by Sen. Robert Casey (D-PA).
The Senate approved the bill on April 20 (see The Source, 4/22/16); the House approved an earlier version of the measure (H.R. 1567), sponsored by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), on April 12 (see The Source, 4/15/16).
