On January 20, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry passed, by voice vote, the Improving Child Nutrition Integrity and Access Act (as-yet-unnumbered), sponsored by Chair Pat Roberts (R-KS) and Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow (D-MI).
Among other provisions, the bill would reauthorize through FY2020 the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and several school lunch and summer food service programs that serve low-income families.
