On July 28, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 225, a resolution honoring the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) on its 40th anniversary.
The measure, sponsored by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), notes that “13.6 million firms are 50 percent or more owned by women, and these businesses employ nearly 15.9 million people and generate $2.7 trillion in revenue as of 2013.”
The resolution congratulates NAWBO “for its tireless efforts and decades of support of women entrepreneurs and business owners.”
