On May 5, the Senate approved, 51-48, the FY2016 budget conference report (S. Con. Res. 11). The House approved the measure on April 30 (see The Source, 5/1/15).
The nonbinding resolution, which provides a blueprint for federal spending, allocates $3.039 trillion in budget authority and caps federal discretionary spending at $1.016 trillion in FY2016.
